Job Description:
- This position will support production to resolve issues and keep the hardware builds moving forward. The ability to make a quick assessment of a problem, identify additional information required, understand the resources available, compare the urgency of the issue to other failures/issues, and to take the understanding of these parts and create a path for troubleshoot and/or correction and final resolution. Then it is required to be able to communicate this plan to a cross functional team with diverse backgrounds. And lastly to continue to drive updates and status of this plan along the way. This is an onsite position at Tucson, AZ.
- Resolve production and supplier issues, including troubleshooting and coordinating corrective actions Change documentation preparation and presentation
- Maintain and update technical drawings and documentation, including preparing change packages for review boards
- Diagnose hardware failures using a range of electronic test equipment and analysis tools
- Evaluate defects and yield data to drive process improvements and reduce recurring failures
- Collaborate with suppliers, create Statements of Work, and support general electrical engineering activities in production environments
Qualifications You Must Have:
Core Technical Skills (Non-negotiables)
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5-10 years prior relevant experience.
- Experience with digital, analog, RF and/or mixed signal testing and/or debugging complex circuit card assemblies and/or electro-mechanical systems
- Experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, power supplies, etc.
- Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and BoMs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting production engineering activities involving electrical or mechanical hardware
- Background in designing electronic or electro optical subsystems, including circuit design, assembly processes, and fabrication practices
- Familiarity with engineering and analysis tools across electrical design, simulation, and measurement domains
- Experience with subsystem integration, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to work independently or within small teams while providing technical guidance, coordination, and project oversight
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
