Construction Manager
Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Construction Manager based in Phoenix, AZ, with a hybrid schedule (60% office, 40% field) and occasional travel to NV or NM. This leadership role oversees multiple telecommunications construction projects (fiber and small cell), facilitating scheduling, resource coordination, and vendor management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and safely.

- Hybrid work: H60% office, 40% field (Monday Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM AZ time)
- Mileage and standard cell phone expenses reimbursed
- High School diploma required
- Valid driver's license
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience in telecommunications/wireless construction
- Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction (aerial & underground) and Small Cell construction techniques
- Familiarity with test equipment and procedures (OTDR, PIM, SWEEP)
- Understanding of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong computer skills: MS Office, SmartSheets, Excel
- Strong leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with budget development, construction management, and workflow troubleshooting
- Lead creation and management of work packages for vendors; oversee and coordinate construction schedules
- Communicate timely updates and resolve construction issues with vendors and inspectors
- Anticipate and proactively resolve project obstacles, ensuring milestones and KPIs are met
- Collect and analyze project data, reporting on progress and key metrics such as % On-Time Install and fiber completion
- Provide oversight for all administrative tasks, including POs, invoicing, project tracking, and monitoring deadlines
- Assist with financial management, forecasting, and invoice resolution
- Approve purchase orders and process contractor invoices for fiber and small cell construction
- Communicate construction timelines, milestones, safety guidelines, and billing with vendors
- Maintain and update company tools; participate in company meetings and cross-functional initiatives
- Ensure service delivery and project closeout standards are met
- Escalate any issues to management before reaching critical status
- Support ad hoc reporting and provide general administrative project support as needed
