Technical Service Data Engineer
Introduction
We are seeking a professional who can effectively translate complex engineering specifications and 3D CAD data into high-precision repair procedures within the ERP system. This role is crucial in ensuring that every detail, from bolt to torque value, is accurately documented and maintained throughout the entire engineering change lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Practical Repair Experience: Hands-on background in a repair or overhaul environment to understand workshop practicalities.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced navigation in CATIA (V5/V6) or similar high-end PLM software; Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar (specifically routing/tasklist modules).
- Precision Mindset: An obsession with data accuracyspecifically regarding Torque Values and Joint IDs.
- Analytical Detective Work: Ability to intuitively know which Tasklists across the system need adjustment based on Change Orders.
- Experience in a technical role within Repair & Overhaul (MRO) or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Direct exposure to Repair Operations with an understanding of workshop constraints like tool accessibility, fastener galling, and safety protocols.
- Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 or 3DExperience for assembly navigation and part extraction.
- ERP Tasklist Authoring: Build and maintain detailed repair "Tasklists" in the ERP, mapping specific Part Numbers, Joint IDs, and critical assembly values.
- CAD Data Extraction: Use CATIA to navigate complex assemblies, identify components, and verify spatial requirements for repairs.
- Change Management (CM): Act as the Data Agent for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), analyzing the impact on existing repair procedures and updating the ERP.
