As a Technology Architect, you will be responsible for designing and architecting robust enterprise database solutions using IBM DB2, Oracle, and Azure platforms. This role requires a high level of expertise in managing complex database systems and ensuring they align with client goals, performance standards, and scalability needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect enterprise-grade database solutions leveraging IBM DB2, Oracle, and Azure platforms.
- Define database architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Lead initiatives for database modernization and cloud migration to the Azure platform.
- Ensure the high availability, scalability, performance, and reliability of database systems.
- Perform advanced SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Design and implement comprehensive backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure database systems adhere to security and compliance requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database systems meet business and technical requirements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and developers on best practices and database design principles.
- Participate in ongoing improvements and upgrades to database systems to enhance performance and maintainability.
- 10+ years in database architecture and related fields.
- None required, but relevant certifications in Azure, DB2, or Oracle would be a plus.
- Lead database modernization and cloud migration efforts to Azure.
- Design, implement, and optimize database solutions using DB2 and Oracle.
- Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of the clients database systems on Azure.
