About the Role
You will play a key role in defining, designing, and verifying software and system requirements for advanced military vehicle platforms. Working closely with a talented engineering team, you will help ensure systems and subsystems are integrated and tested to meet mission-critical standards. This position offers hands-on work in lab, vehicle, and field environments, providing a diverse and engaging experience.
Key Responsibilities- Define and ensure traceability of system, subsystem, and software requirements
- Compose software requirements from CAMEO Trace System requirements and subsystem design documents
- Perform functional analysis to develop flows and concepts of execution
- Design and develop system and subsystem architecture, interfaces, and commonality considerations
- Decompose performance and verification requirements and develop design verification plans and reports
- Identify, define, and manage power, data, and other system interfaces
- Support managing power and network bandwidth allocations for vehicle functions
- Integrate and verify system and subsystem components in lab and vehicle environments
- Define and execute system and subsystem integration, test, and verification plans
- Provide technical inputs to project planning, schedules, and cost estimates
- Achieve proficiency in one or multiple domains (e.g., Power, Fire Control, Diagnostics, Information Assurance, C4, Software User Interface design)
- Bachelors Degree in an Engineering Discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in system/subsystem/software requirements development, design, and test
- Hands-on experience with CAMEO, Requirements Manager, DOORs, or TEAMCENTER
- Experience with data bus design and management (CAN, Ethernet, 1553)
- Proficiency in system/subsystem troubleshooting
- Able to write test procedures and reports
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Flexible to occasional evening and/or weekend work
- Able to work in office, shop, test lab, test site, and vehicle environments
- Military vehicle knowledge or defense industry experience
- Additional expertise in specialized domains such as Fire Control, C4, or Diagnostics
- This assignment is a U.S. Government Contract; applicants must be U.S. Citizens
