Electrical Engineer Senior RF Design Engineer
Schedule: 5/8 (8 hours per day, 5 days a week). Role Overview: Join the Product Support Engineering team. Investigate RF/Analog, assembly, SMT, and test-related problems. Demonstrate thorough understanding of radio transmitter and receiver design. Collaborate across multifunctional teams to diagnose issues to component level. Determine solutions via simulation and experimentation. Implement corrective actions. Typical Tasks:
- Provide guidance to junior staff, assist investigations, lead efforts, and coordinate tasks.
- Mitigate component shortages by qualifying alternatives or redesigning circuits and sub-assemblies.
- Work with design and manufacturing teams to introduce new designs into production.
- Collaborate with design engineering on circuit changes before and during new product launches.
- Troubleshoot units, modules, and boards to component level.
- Perform hardware troubleshooting on analog and RF components and circuits.
- Design and conduct engineering experiments, then act on test results.
- Design and analyze circuits/components using ADS, MATLAB, and various simulation tools.
- Use lab equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
- Analyze designs and communicate technical information to support staff.
- Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and 4+ years relevant experience Or 10+ years relevant experience without degree.
- RF experience required.
- Electrical Engineering degree.
- Experience with tactical radios and power amplifier hardware.
- Component-level troubleshooting expertise.
- Working knowledge of LabVIEW, ADS, and Jira.
