Introduction

The Enterprise BI Technology (EBIT) team is seeking a professional to support the SSRS to Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) migration initiative and ongoing platform growth. This role will focus on supporting the PBIRS environment, managing the underlying SQL Server databases, and assisting with platform scalability as additional nodes and users are onboarded. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL Server administration and report server operations and be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, production support environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

6 years of SQL Server administration experience
Hands-on experience supporting SSRS and/or Power BI Report Server
Strong knowledge of SQL Server Agent, jobs, and scheduling
Experience monitoring and troubleshooting SQL Server performance
Proficiency with T-SQL for querying and diagnostics as well as understanding of Windows Server services and permissions

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience supporting Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) in a scale out or high usage environment
Working knowledge of SSRS to PBIRS migration patterns
Familiarity with monitoring tools for SQL Server and reporting workloads
Experience supporting enterprise BI platforms in a regulated or large scale environment
Exposure to Power BI Service or cloud BI platforms
Ability to document operational processes and troubleshooting steps
Experience working in Agile or ITIL based support models
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately
Good verbal and written communication skills
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
