Design Quality Engineer
Responsibilities

The candidate will oversee program timelines, a material development database, participate in design reviews, and be an effective communicator.

Review molded parts pre-grain to ensure that the quality of the mold is acceptable to KO grain.

Provide visual documentation of issues related to mold prior to grain approval and work with supplier / engineer to address issues found.

Review and validate the Pre-Grain Approval Sheet from supplier and sign off document to start graining of tool.

Assess all AAR parts (wrapped, painted, chrome, MIC, etc.) to ensure that parts are meeting visual targets and are dimensionally stable to support sign off for PPAP.

Maintain a record of all parts that have been submitted for grain approval and AAR.

Provide visual documentation of issues related to AAR parts and work with supplier / engineer to address issues found.

Support on site at supplier to help root cause issues as needed working with SQE and supplier quality teams.

Work closely with CMF Design and Mastering for clear "plaque-to-part scaling.
Qualifications - 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree.
- 5 years minimum of automotive experience.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve results.
- Hold high standards for quality, attention to detail, and build strong relationships with other team members.
- Self-motivated, flexible, adaptable to change, and able to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple parallel-path projects.
- Experience with report writing and time management.
- Experience with MS Office.
- Comfortable with change and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Tooling experience is a plus
