Project Manager
Job Summary:
- Client is looking for resource with experience on how to implement, configure, engineer powering (AC/DC) inside the Central offices.
- Sr. Project Manager-DC Power, need Telecommunication or Telecommunication or Any Turf Vendor experience (Crown Castle, Black & Vetch, Bechtel).
- Need DC power experience within Central offices (AC only will not qualify Targeting new England and mid-Atlantic area).
- Performing Site surveys Managing 2-3 DC Power Project Engineer with 30-50% travel required within new England and mid-Atlantic area.
- Responsible for Site surveys/quotes/specs/battery charging/build out steel/power racking.
- This integral position is responsible for developing the specifications for the installation of DC power equipment into Central Offices .
- Interfacing with customer representatives.
- Performing site surveys.
- Creating price quotes.
- Writing installation specifications.
- Detailing material requirements.
- Performing material and labor cost analysis.
- Providing engineering field support.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant DC power plant engineering experience in a Central Office environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Central office DC power plant engineering experience including:
- Proficient with various original equipment manufacturers (Client, Eltek, etc)
- Proficient with various battery types (flooded, VRLA, etc)
- Proficient with customer standards particularly Telecommunication and Telecommunication
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with our customer.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
- Strong PC skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to travel regionally.
- Proficient with customer databases (PowerPro, AMPEERS, GeoLink, etc):
- Rectifiers.
- Controllers.
- Inverters.
- Converters.
- Batteries.
- Secondary distribution to BDFB/BDCBB.
