The Storage Engineer (IPv6 Support) is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of enterprise storage systems within an IPv6-enabled network environment. This role ensures optimal performance, availability, and security of storage infrastructure while supporting both IPv4 and IPv6 configurations.
Location: Washington, DC, USA
Work Type: Onsite (5 days per week)
- Configure, manage, and maintain storage systems including SAN, NAS, and Direct Attached Storage
- Monitor storage capacity, system health, and performance metrics to ensure high availability
- Identify and resolve storage performance bottlenecks
- Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Configure storage technologies to operate over both IPv4 and IPv6 networks
- Troubleshoot storage and network-related issues in an IPv6-enabled environment
- Storage systems administration (SAN, NAS, Direct Attached Storage)
- Storage performance monitoring and optimization
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- IPv6 configuration and integration with storage systems
- Storage capacity planning and health monitoring
- Strong knowledge of IPv6 networking, including:
- Addressing
- Routing
- Subnetting
- Network design
- Troubleshooting
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in storage solutions engineering support
- Proven experience in storage management, administration, and maintenance
- Experience ensuring high availability and performance of storage environments
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years
