Network System Engineer III

Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team. The role involves engaging in systems engineering activities supporting Mainframe (System z) Storage projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system design, development, and client support, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex technical projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experienced MF Storage administrator with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience
• Strong technical documentation writing skills
• Proficient with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX
• Self-starter with the ability to work without hands-on supervision

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication
• Experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations
• Experience with Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension
• In-depth knowledge of Client/SRS, Client, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS
• Assembler, CLIST, and REXX knowledge
• Conceptual understanding of Mainframe Operations

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities for Mainframe Storage projects
• Collaborate with senior personnel and project managers on technical projects
• Assist and mentor junior analysts
• Conduct technical peer reviews
• Manage DASD and replication tasks
