Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)to join our talented team. As an Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes.   • The location is in Coos Bay, Oregon
  • The working schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • The duration is 13 weeks as a contractor
  • The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
  • Vacation requirements are as needed
  • On-call requirements are not required
  • The pay: $55.75 Hourly ($35.00 Taxable, $20.75 Stipend) = $2,230.00 Weekly = $8,920.00 Monthly Gross

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting initial assessments to gather information about the client's abilities, limitations, and goals
  • Observe and document the client's progress during therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans based on the client's needs and goals
  • Implement therapeutic activities and interventions outlined in the treatment plan
  • Provide hands-on therapy to clients, including exercises, activities, and modalities designed to improve motor skills, coordination, and sensory perception
  • Instruct clients on proper techniques for activities of daily living (ADLs) and adaptive equipment usage
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans
  • Communicate regularly with the supervising Occupational Therapist to update on client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, speech therapists, and nurses, to ensure holistic patient care
  • Communicate with clients and their families to educate them on therapeutic activities and provide support
  • Assist in the selection and maintenance of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
  • Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy through ongoing education and training

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification in the state of practice
  • 1 year recent Occupational Therapy experience in a rehab setting
  • BLS Certification
