Purpose

Evaluates business requirements for enterprise application integration, service activation, and delivers new or modified software systems enhancements and/or integration solutions. Conducts and analyzes business and information technology processes and prepares essential groundwork. Participates in the definition, testing, training, implementation and support of system requirements. Identifies customer requirements, develops test schedules, reviews testing plans, and tracks and documents the development and results of these plans. Alerts project leaders to potential risks and issues of importance. Uncovers client requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, and object modeling. Solicits client requirements through interview, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

** Participates in systems requirements, definition, testing, training, implementation and support

** Solicits client requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing system documentation or procedures.

** Uses industry standard analysis techniques to uncover client requirements such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis, data modeling, and object modeling.

** Documents the results of analysis activities using the appropriate templates or analysis tools

** Uses prototyping, where possible, to solidify client requirements (in conjunction with the Software Developer)

** Adheres to plural process guidelines and standards

** Conducts and analyzes preliminary business and information technology processes and prepare groundwork.

** Makes recommendations for necessary changes on projects that come in from other departments

** Identifies customer requirements, develop test schedules, review testing plans, and track and document development/results.

** Creates, modifies and maintains and schedules procedures and reports using various report writing tools

** Identifies areas of potential business risk and communicate these to the Project Leader

Job Requirements

Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.

** BA I - 4 years of general business analysis experience required.

** BA II - 4 - 6 years of general business analysis experience required

** SR BA - 6 + years of general business analysis experience required, may act as lead.

** Previous experience in project analysis

** 2 + years of experience with client/server-based systems

** Knowledge and experience gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes

** Ability to work in technical environments that us Unix, Oracle and SQL

** Must be systems-oriented, enjoy work with new tools, and be a self motivated learner

Physical Environment

** Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

** Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.

** Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.

** Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of role duties.
