Sourcing Buyer - Indirect Flex

POSITION OVERVIEW Provide Source to Pay support and execution across Corporate and Marketing spend categories in North America.This resource will flex between categories, with a primary focus in the Information Technology and Employee Services categories within the GBS (Global Business Solutions) function.

Key elements of the role include holistic category management, managing supplier commercial relationships, competitively bidding and contracting with suppliers, driving total value, and agile workload management.This role is a unique opportunity to gain experience across multiple categories and apply sourcing expertise on key projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES * Partner with the business function and OGS category teams to advance strategic category strategies and long range plans.* Collaborate with cross-functional partners and suppliers to achieve cost management and efficiency goals.* Participate in development of strategic sourcing plans that provide General Mills with a competitive advantage and deliver long term consistent, sustainable, cost-effective supply * Comply with corporate and regulatory policies and accounting practices.

* Learn and leverage continuous improvement tools and processes #cb REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain Management, Business, or Economics preferred) * 1-2 years sourcing experience * Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business results * Negotiations, risk management, market analysis, economic analysis, financial analysis experiences * Strong project management and collaboration skills PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE * Act independently and execute in ambiguity * Ability to communicate effectively * Understand internal business requirements, industry and competition * Bring diverse experience and apply to expand thinking to capture advantage General Mills is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
