Supply Chain Overview Global Supply Chain makes the Food People Love.They buy ingredients to make our products, design services and equipment, create and package food and distribute our products.

Logistics' role is to partner with General Mills Operating Units and Sales teams to: plan and schedule the production of our products, execute the movement and storage of our products across Supply Chain and fulfill and manage customer orders.Job Overview As a Supply Chain Logistics Associate Intern, you will be immediately challenged with leadership and project management opportunities.

As an intern, you will get an in-depth preview of the roles you will have as a full time SCLA, as well as allowing you the opportunity to work on a variety of value added projects.Some previous intern projects have included: * Optimized warehouse utilization, resulting in potential annual savings and deferred costs of over $300,000 * Lowered overall inventories and increased inventory turns as a result of material use analyses * Used a time study to optimize a material unloading process, creating annual savings of $76,000 What Will I Do?

You'll make an impact by: * Providing end-to-end Supply Chain functional expertise and leadership in the areas of Logistics Planning, Transportation, Customer Service and Warehousing.

* Managing inventory levels, ingredient and material requirements, and Transportation systems in a Manufacturing environment * Planning production schedules while executing key events in the Product Life Cycle.

Daily responsibility for millions of dollars of inventory and critical Logistics budget inputs.* Building people management experience and servant leadership while driving day-to-day Manufacturing and Warehousing operations Where Will I Work?
