QA Automation/Manual Engineer Description

Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to safeguard the delivery of quality software applications. Participates in the development of test cases and scripts, test planning, test automation, and test execution. Identifies and tracks quality assurance metrics (defects, test results, test status). Assembles and examines test data for process evaluation and improvement. Documents issues with software applications and assists in their resolution. Works on projects of moderate to high intensity within one or more development environments. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, , or other related field. Ability to manage multiple assignments. Superior written and oral communication skills. 1-5 years of experience.

This position is for QA Automation Tester
- Leading Testing efforts multiple projects coordinating with on-site and off-shore resources to develop test scenarios for both enterprise releases and smaller maintenance releases.
- Strong Functional Testing experience with knowledge of QA Automation tools.
- 4+ Years of Automation tools for QA - Selenium, Citrus, SOAP, etc.
- 4+ Years of Function testing experience / preferred with Telecom
- 3+ Years of Oracle , PL/SQL experience
- Exposure to Unix/Linux & scripting tools
- Exposure to DevOps tools (Jenkins/ GITlab etc) is a plus
- Exposure of Open source tools
- Create and develop new automation test cases
- Working closely with the business UAT teams, 3rd party vendors, and other internal IT teams to
- Test complex projects on time.
- Performing hands-on test case development.
- Attending approach reviews to understand the new functionality.
- Test business processes/products across applications with an end-to-end process flow.
- Manage escalations with developers regarding code defects, fix priority and ticket closure.
- Understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life-cycle, including system analysis

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or above
Telecom Experience is a Plus
REQUIRED SHIFT: 8 Hrs work day / support monthly ER Release would require after hours work on as need basis.
